Delta Air Lines passenger: “Then I board and see this dog in my first class seat”
“I was upgraded to first this morning, just 15 minutes later I was downgraded (to a worse seat than the one I had before),” the passenger with the username /ben_bob wrote on Reddit. “I asked the receptionist what was going on and she said 'something changed'. Okay, I'm unhappy, but oh well, then I go up and see this dog in my first class seat and now I'm furious.”
While the passenger described the seat he was initially offered as first class, the image he posted shows it was likely a business class seat on a domestic flight. (The term “first” is officially used to refer to the highest service available on certain long-haul flights. It is often used interchangeably with “business” in everyday speech.)
The passenger then contacted Delta customer service through the airline's app and claims he was told one “may be rehomed for service animals and there is nothing they can do.”
