Investing.com – The German stock market closed higher this Friday; the gains of the sectors, and drove the indices higher.
At the close in Frankfurt, the index rose 1.04%, while the index added 0.28% and 0.94%.
The best value of the session was Infineon Technologies AG NA ON (ETR:), up 2.97%, or 0.89 points, to close at 30.82. Meanwhile, MTU Aero Engines NA ON (ETR:) advanced 2.94%, 9.20 points, to close at 322.20, and German Bank AG NA ON (ETR:) rose 2.03%, 0.32 points, ending the session at 16.07.
At the bottom of the index was Sartorius AG VZO ON (ETR:), which fell 1.58%, or 3.50 points, to close at 217.80. Brenntag AG (ETR:) fell 1.17% or 0.72 points to close at 61.00 and Beiersdorf AG ON (ETR:) fell 0.53%, or 0.65 points, to 122.65.
The best performing stocks on the MDAX were Kion Group AG (ETR:) which rose 3.43% to 33.77, AG Hero Delivery (ETR:) which rose 1.97% to settle at 38.74 and HelloFresh SE (ETR:), which gained 1.67% to close at 11.56.
The worst results were Hugo Boss AG NA ON (ETR:), which was down 2.82% to 32.07 at the end of the session, Hipoport AG (ETR:) which lost 1.92% to close at 194.20 and Tag Immobilien AG (ETR:) which lost 1.57% to close at 15.72.
The best stocks on the TecDAX were Infineon Technologies AG NA ON (ETR:), which rose 2.97% to 30.82, SMA Solar technology AG (ETR:), which rose 2.86% to 13.66 , and Eckert & Ziegler AG ON (ETR:), which gained 1.81% to close at 46.06.
The worst results were Evotec AG ON (ETR:), which fell 2.43% to 8.83 at the end of the session, Sartorius AG VZO ON (ETR:), which lost 1.58% to 217.80, and Bechtle AG ( ETR:), which fell 1.21%, to 31.10 at the close.
Advancing stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 339 to 294 and 25 ended unchanged.
MTU Aero Engines NA ON (ETR:) shares rose to all-time highs; rising 2.94% or 9.20 to 322.20. Hugo Boss AG NA ON (ETR:) shares fell to 3-year lows; losing 2.82% or 0.93 to 32.07. Bechtle AG (ETR:) shares fell to their lowest level in three years; falling 1.21% or 0.38 to 31.10.
The , which measures implied volatility of DAX options, fell 4.50% to 15.13, a new one-month low.
Gold futures for February delivery rose 0.74% or 19.81 to $2,684.61 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities, Crude oil futures for delivery in January rose 0.01% or 0.01 to settle at $68.73 a barrel, while Brent oil futures for delivery in February fell 1 0.48%, 0.35, to $72.43 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.02% at 1.06, while EUR/GBP was unchanged 0.13% at 0.83.
US Dollar Index futures were down 0.03% at 106.02.
