nintendo alone announced its various Black Friday promotions and will be available on November 24th and will last until November 30th. These include discounts on first-party Switch titles, which is pretty rare. Deals will be available at popular retailers like Best Buy, Target, and Walmart. These discounts are for physical copies of games, so the Nintendo eShop will not participate.
Perhaps the crown jewel of Black Friday is a $20 discount on The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. The game normally costs $70, so this brings the price down to $50. The game is an absolute blast and builds on everything good that was originally introduced in Breath of the wild. This time, however, the new abilities allow for even more unique solutions to the puzzles.
The sale also applies to those in long gestation. Pikmin 4 and the sublimely creative Super Mario Maker 2. Both will be available for $40. Animal Crossing: New Horizonsthe beauty of the ball of the COVID era, will also cost $40. The same goes for Nintendo Switch Sports and Kirby and the forgotten land.
super mario odyssey, which remains the last 3D platformer in the franchise, will be reduced to just $30. The same price will apply to the remake collection. Pikmin 1 + 2. Joy-Con controllers, carrying cases and other accessories will also be on sale.
There will even be a deal on an actual Switch console bundle. Nintendo Switch Lite: Hyrule Edition will cost $210, but it comes with some major perks. This bundle ships with the gold console and a full year of Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack. This provides access to all types of retro games, from NES to N64.
There is a warning here. It doesn't take long for the Nintendo Switch to arrive in this world, as a sequel is imminent. Adults may want to wait for the new console, but a Switch Lite is still a great gift for a child. However, no one has any idea what effect Trump's promised tariffs will have on console prices, so maybe even the Switch Lite will cost $600 next year. Who the hell knows more?
However, if you're interested in doing some holiday shopping now, you can explore the best Black Friday tech deals we've selected. Gaming deals are a little thin right now, but you can get up to 55 percent off Xbox titles right now, or a 1TB Xbox Series the usual rate.
