Carnival Cruise Line has always given special recognition to military veterans on its ships. That's not limited to U.S. military members, both active and retired; also includes Canadian military and veterans.
The cruise line recognizes these brave men and women on every voyage.

“The biggest congratulations occur during the cruise: at the Military Appreciation Meeting. Here we not only honor their courage and commitment… but, of course, also that of their families. We celebrate this event on absolutely every cruise, always during Military Appreciation Day, and everyone is welcome to come and show their support,” the cruise line shared on its website.
Carnival also offers special recognition to the longest-serving military member in the room, “who brings home a special hero coin, while all members leave with a commemorative pin,” he added.
Many Carnival ships also offer the Heroes Tribue Bar & Lounge.
“There's a place in our hearts for heroes…and now there's a place to salute them! We're talking about military members you can count on to take on an important mission and see it through. You'll find evidence of our commitment on board in Heroes Tribute Bar & Lounge, a continued recognition of the sacrifices made by Armed Forces personnel and their families,” according to Carnival.

Gloria Lanhardt agrees.
“Seriously, we love how Carnival honors the military. My husband was in the Coast Guard since 1969 and turned 13. It can be a difficult life some days, but it is very rewarding and he loved it very much. He goes to all the reunions. on the ship. Thank you to everyone who served,” he wrote.
